I knew Michelle the Cat was up for adventure the day I spotted her in a luxury store in California wine country. As her brothers snored, she reached out to me and purred.
After I adopted her, she began hiding in my laptop bag, as though she wanted me to take her to work.
So, I bought a crate, strapped it into the back seat of my car and off we went around town. After a few months, we took a journey from the Bay Area to San Diego.
Then, last summer, Michelle and I traveled from Idyllwild, California up into British Columbia and back, driving about 6,000 miles. She made a wonderful travel companion.
